An obscure drink made from the skin of grapes

The job was to create an identity for a new, short-run gin born from a collaboration between Vino Vero and The Essex Distillery Co. When it was realised no one could really pin down the exact historical origins of gin, we took that fact and ran with it, constructing our own version of events. Myself, the CD and wider creative team took inspiration from a future medieval aesthetic. The identity evolved into a humorous mix of Essex references and old English verbiage. The project saw me ideating, naming and copywriting. Philip Yarnell, a local tattoo artist, drew the character used on the bottle.
